Yesterday DH stopped by for lunch. Yes, stopped by on the way from Phoenix to DC. He had just left to return to the airport when the phone rang.
"I just saw a wild turkey across the street."
"Really? OK, I'll go check."
Not sure about the wild part, as I walked to about 8 feet away. I know it's not as unusual as a moose, but here in the metro area you take whatever Nature you can get.

My parents have turkeys as regulars at their bird feeders in an area much like yours. They have been great fun to watch. The toms like to show off their fancy tail feathers. Mom and dad turkey also like to bring the young ones around too.
And here I was thinking you were chasing a fifth of whiskey. ;)
Celloluv _ I still have no idea if this is a hen or a tom. I'm a turkey moron.
Emily - tee hee.
