Glamis Castle

Pronounced "Glawms," where the late Queen Mother grew up, at least partly. There was a cute photo of her playing there as a child in one of the rooms we visited. I finally get the idea that tapestries are used as wallpaper lining the 10-ft thick walls in these castles, covering every inch floor to ceiling. I just keep thinking about the maintenance required, and have great respect for the people who keep these places liveable.
